Pavement is very much like Sandpaper

Last weekend was supposed to be a treat for me. You see, Sugar had decided to ditch MSD in the studio, in favor of a week long holiday in Las Vegas. I was to pick her up from the airport last Saturday night and since I missed her very much while she was gone, and was very much looking forward, with great anticipation, to picking her up, I needed to kill some time during the day.

I decided to go for a nice long ride on my motorcycle. What better way to kill time on such a nice spring day then to ride the open highway, right? Well I was wrong. They say there are two kinds of motorcyclists, those that have been in accidents and those that will… they are correct.

As I was going around a curve, leaning the bike a little more than I should have, I hit a strange bump in the road which threw me and the bike to the ground. As the title states, pavement is very much like sandpaper. I snapped the foot peg off of my motorcycle and tore a bit of flesh from my elbow and knee as I slid across the road. Luckily that was the extent of my accident. I was able to ride the bike home, every now and then getting strange looks from fellow motorists who pulled up next to me at traffic lights, looked over, and saw me with blood running down my arm.

Since then, the wounds have healed, the swelling has gone down, my bike has a new pair of Harley Davidson foot pegs, and best of all, Sugar is back! So its time to get back to recording the E.P. Lets just hope there are no more unexpected (and painful) delays.
